Indonesia visa for Argentines: do you need one?
Yes, Argentines need a visa for Indonesia, but Argentina is on Indonesia's visa on arrival list, so you can get it on arrival or apply online in advance for the e-VOA. It costs IDR 500,000 for a 30-day stay, which you can extend once by 30 days. We found no official Argentine travel advice on entering Indonesia, so this page relies on Indonesian government sources only.

Visa rules for a tourist visit
We found no page from Argentina's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Cancillería) setting out the entry requirements for Argentines visiting Indonesia, so everything here comes from Indonesian government sources. Argentina is on the eligible list on Indonesia's official page for the visa on arrival (VOA) and e-VOA. It is not on Indonesia's visa-free list published by the Ministry of Tourism.
Indonesia's Directorate General of Immigration says you can get this visa online in advance as an e-VOA or at designated ports of entry. It lists the fee at IDR 500,000, single entry and valid for a 30-day stay, with a visa validity of 90 days (no date shown on the page, checked 27 Oct 2026). Card payment fees may be added.
How long you can stay
The visa gives you 30 days. Indonesia's official e-VOA page says a longer stay needs an extension at an Immigration Office, and that you cannot get a new visa on arrival while you are in Indonesia.
The Yogyakarta Immigration Office explains that the visa on arrival can be extended once while you are in the country, for another 30 days, giving a total stay of 60 days. The extension fee is IDR 500,000 and you can apply from 14 days before your current stay expires (page posted 24 Aug 2022, updated 4 Nov 2025).
What to have ready
- A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date you arrive in Indonesia (Indonesian regulation, as stated on the e-VOA page).
- A return ticket. Indonesia's e-VOA page advises having it printed, because an immigration officer may ask for it.
- The visa fee of IDR 500,000, paid online for the e-VOA or at the counter on arrival.
- If you visit Bali, the Bali tourist levy: the Bali Provincial Government charges Rp 150,000 per person, once per trip, paid cashless through Love Bali or at the counters at Bali's airport and port.
The arrival form
You also need All Indonesia, the official arrival declaration that combines immigration, customs and health questions. It is free and mandatory, you fill it in within the 72 hours before you arrive, and we have a separate page that walks you through it.
Recent and upcoming changes
- The Bali tourist levy is set by Bali Provincial Regulation No. 2 of 2025, which amends Regulation No. 6 of 2023, and by Governor Regulation No. 25 of 2025.
