Forgot your MDAC? Do this

  • Open imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main and press "Register". It works on a phone or a computer, with no app needed.
  • Your trip must be within 3 days, including the day you submit, so you can file it on the day you travel.
  • Airlines may ask for it at check-in, so do it before you go to the airport if you can.
  • The autogate rules say the MDAC must be "submitted 3 days before arrival". Manual immigration counters remain available.
  • Lost your PIN? Use "Forgot PIN" on the portal. A new PIN is sent to your email, once a day.
  • Never pay a site to file it for you. The Immigration Department has named fake MDAC sites.

When to submit

The MDAC has been mandatory since 1 January 2024. Submit it within 3 days before arrival in Malaysia. The form says: "Please note that your trip must be within 3 days (including the date of submission)". For example, if you arrive on 7 December, you can submit from 5 December.

Complete it before you travel. Airlines may ask for it at check-in.
