Do I need an arrival card for Tanzania?

Yes. Visitors must fill in the Travellers Health Surveillance Form (Afya Msafiri) online before arriving in Tanzania. All travellers must fill in the Travellers Health Surveillance Form before departing or on arrival; the Ministry of Health announced heightened Ebola screening at all points of entry on 17 October 2026. Separately, from 1 October 2026 foreign visitors must buy inbound travel insurance: from NIC if mainland Tanzania is the first point of entry (USD 44 per person; EAC and SADC residents excluded), or from ZIC if Zanzibar is the first point of entry.
