Costa Rica arrival card: do you need one?

Common questions

Do I need an arrival card for Costa Rica?

No. Costa Rica doesn't ask visitors to fill in an online arrival form (also called an entry form, immigration card or landing card) before they travel. Declare cash or goods worth US$10,000 or more, and anything that may be prohibited or subject to duty.

Do I still need a visa for Costa Rica?

An arrival form is not a visa. Whether you need a visa or an electronic travel authorization depends on your nationality, so check Costa Rica's official immigration website or your own government's travel advice.
